Client: Dr. Abdullah Samir
Background
In June 2024, Dr. Abdullah Samir from Florida reached out to us, having been recommended by someone to produce a religious program for Ramadan 2025. The challenge was that his visit to Egypt was short, so we had to handle everything online, including reviewing scripts, finalizing the show’s design, color schemes, lighting, and decor. Dr. Abdullah, accustomed to the high production standards of programs made in the U.S., wanted something of equal quality to compete with international productions.
The Challenge
The key challenge was to produce a program that matched the high-quality standards Dr. Abdullah had seen in the U.S., while also fitting into the cultural context of the Egyptian audience. Additionally, since this was Dr. Abdullah’s first time hosting a program in front of the camera, we had to ensure that the production process was seamless and comfortable for him.
The Approach
To meet these goals, we pre-planned everything meticulously online. We finalized the script, designed the visuals, and coordinated the set design, lighting, and overall aesthetic before Dr. Abdullah’s arrival. Over two days of shooting, we filmed all 29 episodes of the program. We used a teleprompter to assist Dr. Abdullah with his delivery, given it was his first experience filming in front of a camera.
We chose three Blackmagic 6K cinema cameras to ensure the highest possible quality for the program. Additionally, we designed the program’s logo and created an animated version to enhance its branding.
To make the program stand out, we collaborated with a professional sound studio to create unique human tones that matched the program’s atmosphere. For the Quranic verses, we ensured they had a distinct style by recording them in a sound studio, giving them a special appearance on screen.
The Execution
The shooting was efficient, and all 29 episodes were filmed within two days. After filming, the team worked on post-production, including creating the animation and fine-tuning the audio. With the program’s visuals and sound ready, we moved on to the next phase.
In preparation for Ramadan, we started releasing one episode per day on YouTube, along with short Reels on Instagram as teasers to engage the audience. A promo video was released in Sha’ban to build anticipation before the program aired.
Meanwhile, our digital marketing team worked to target the right audience, ensuring the program reached the desired viewers. As a result, Dr. Abdullah’s YouTube channel grew from zero views before Ramadan to 120,000 views by the end of the month.
The Result
The program was a huge success. Not only did it match the quality that Dr. Abdullah was seeking, but it also attracted a substantial viewership, with the YouTube channel reaching impressive engagement numbers. The combination of high-quality production and strategic digital marketing ensured the program’s success and helped establish it as a top choice for viewers during Ramadan.
